Dermaplaning is an excellent treatment for more youthful looking, radiant skin. It is minimally invasive and requires little to no downtime at all. Our medical aestheticians use a medical grade scalpel to shave away the top layer of skin, removing dead skin cells and as well the fine, soft hair often referred to as ‘peach fuzz’.
This treatment helps skin imperfections by revealing the new, undamaged skin underneath the layers of dead skin cells and build up.

The DermaPLANING Procedure
A Dermaplaning treatment at our clinic involves several steps to have your skin feeling it’s very best when you walk out the door.
We begin by doing a cleansing treatment, removing any traces of make-up or skin lotions from the skin. This is followed by a foaming glycolic face mask which cleanses deep, penetrating the pores and loosening up the dead skin cells on the face and neck.
Then your medical aesthetician will begin the Dermaplaning treatment, gently shaving off layers of dead skin and hairs around the entire face and neck area. You will be able to see everything that was removed during the Dermaplaning process following the procedure.
We then provide you with 10 minutes under our Dermalux TriWave MD machine, an advanced LED light therapy system that helps reduce redness and enhances the healthy collagen in your skin.
Finally, we apply a cooling mask and skincare with a facial massage to leave you feeling blissfully relaxed with radiant skin.

Dead skin cells and hairs can block our pores and leave the skin looking dull, tired and stress. Dermaplaning works by removing the top layer of skin from an area, most commonly the face or neck, with a medical grade scalpel. This then allows for the fresh skin underneath to be revealed and rejuvenated.
Am I suitable for Dermaplaning?
Most adults are suitable for this treatment as it is non-invasive and there is no downtime after the treatment has been carried out. We will do a consultation with you and see if there is any reason you should not go ahead with dermaplaning.
What are the risks of Dermaplaning?
There is little evidence of risks associated with Dermaplaning when performed by a medical aesthetician. There are however risks that can be sustained when attempting to perform this treatment on yourself at home, as well as a lack of evidence of real benefits when performed at home as the tools available to the public are not medical grade and not highly effective.
