laser skin resurfacing
We use a range of advanced laser technologies. Laser resurfacing targets deeper scarring by resurfacing the top layer of skin and stimulating collagen production – the protein in the skin that controls strength and elasticity – thus making visible improvements to scarring, uneven texture and fine lines.
laser facial rejuvenation
Our Practitioners use a combination of rejuvenating laser treatments to maximise results by reducing pigmentation, skin sagging and laxity, fine lines and wrinkles and dull skin.
Laser rejuvenation treatments help to achieve a smoother, brighter and more even complexion for a more youthful appearance.
rosacea treatment
Using advanced Harmony Dye-VL or AFT laser technology to treat facial redness, flushing and thread veins leaves our patients feeling self-confident and assured. When redness and rosacea ad uneven texture is difficult to camouflage with products, laser treatment is a more permanent and extremely effective treatment.
pigmentation treatment
Laser treatment can be effective used on its own or in conjunction with other treatments and a personalised skin care regime to even out pigmentation and reduce darker patches of pigmentation in the skin.
Pigmentation needs to be treated with extra care to avoid further damage. An experienced practitioner can identify the correct combination of treatments for the best results, completely tailored to you.
laser tattoo removal
Laser tattoo removal is an effective solution for the removal of old or unwanted tattoos. The handheld laser device emits pulses of energy in the tattooed area, shattering the ink into tiny fragments. The body’s immune system gradually absorbs the fragmented pigment after several sessions resulting in the tattoo becoming less visible over time.

Dermal fillers are an effective and safe solution to replace lost volume in the face and support the softening of lines and wrinkles to restore a more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are effective in treating multiple areas including the face, neck and hands, and well as treating skin concerns such as acne scarring. At London Real Skin our preferred fillers are hyaluronic acid fillers that are natural substances found in the body (Juvéderm and Restylane).

We use Erbium Yag Laser to treat acne scarring. The laser produces energy in the mid-infrared invisible light spectrum. It can be used to precisely target skin and water-holding tissue, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. This creates a controlled thermal injury or wound that leads to remodelling of collagen (the protein in the skin that controls skin strength and elasticity) thus making the scar less visible. 2 to 5 sessions may be required for optimal results. Skin needling can be effective in the treatment of acne scars. Pen devices have largely replaced skin needling rollers. We utilise a medical grade device (Skin Pen Precision) to treat acne scarring. SkinPen microneedling, as the name suggests, delivers needles of varying depths (0.5 to 3 mm) into the dermal layers of the skin. Needling breaks down scar tissue and stimulates the formation of new collagen. This treatment is ideal for darker skin types, and can be combined with Dermal Fillers for optimal results. Frequently Asked Questions
The term “scarring” is not used for the temporary red and brown marks left early after acne has occurred as these marks will almost always improve without treatment.
Acne leaves three major types of scars:
- Ice pick: deep but small pits
- Boxcar: sharp angles and edges; can be shallow or deep
- Rolling: tend to be wide and shallow (a wavy look) caused by damage under the surface
Post severe acne, large pus-filled spaces known as acne cysts are formed. These cysts destroy skin tissue which is not replaced during the healing process. When the cyst eventually empties and the area heals, it usually leaves behind an indentation (or scar) on the face, chest or back. The scarring can appear lumpy which is known as “hypertrophic” or “keloid” scarring.
Each person is different and so will require a personalised approach to treating your skin concern. We have a number of evidence based treatments here at the clinic that are safe and effective in treating skin concerns and boosting general skin health and laxity.
Your treatment plan may involve a combination of laser treatments, and the use of skincare products, which will all be discussed with you during your initial in-depth skin consultation. Factors that can determine a treatment option include skin type, the main skin concern, the downtime required and the cost of the different procedures.
Acne scarring treatments can provide long lasting results. Results may vary according to each patient. These are dependent on a number of factors including lifestyle, age and medical history.
With Dermal Filler, there may be some bleeding during the treatment. As a result, there may be some bruising and swelling in the injected area that can last for 24 to 48 hours. Your Practitioner may recommend applying ice for 15 minutes afterwards on the injected area to minimise swelling and to make it more comfortable and assist with the healing process.
